38 Chevril Road

The magnificent vista from 38 Chevril Road unfolds from within the Double Volume Living Area, over the rim flow pool, into the natural thorn scrub vegetation, and towards the drama of the Drakensberg Mountains in the distance.  The tip of the roof over the Double Volume Living Area is delicately tilted towards the west setting sun. The roof tilt and clerestory windows reflect the orange light of the setting sun into the double volume, creating a fleeting and transient ritual of daily glow in the house.
